This was a great read! I have only been on 1 cruise (with my family when I was a teenager) so looking into booking my own cruise has been intimidating. I'll definitely be reading more of your posts, they seem super helpful!

In reply to <a href="https://cruisingwiththefamily.com/adventureoftheseas/#comment-56">RB</a>.

Hello RB! Welcome back to the cruising world! I will be the first to tell you that you can't go off of reviews. I've seen tons that tell people certain ships aren't good for them based on their opinions. Accessibility on cruise ships happens to be incredibly good. On adventure you'll be able to have priority seating in areas and elevators may take a little time so be patient waiting for those. When we were on that really was the only thing that we noticed took a bit of time. You can ask at guest services for a pocket map of the ship. Ask if it's been updated though. If it's an old version it will say the library is on a different level then it really is. That was the only issue we had. Johnny rockets is more accessible with seating outside then inside. In each cabin they have twin beds and what they do is move them together to convert them into a king size. They literally push them together. I think the beds comfort level is based on each passenger. I've had back surgery and don't have too many issues with the beds. If you are not satisfied with the bed you can do one of two things. First is you can actually bring a mattress topper in your suitcase. I know many who travel with one to make it a bit softer and the other is if your bed is completely unsatisfactory check with your room steward on getting you a newer one. I have seen them do that only once before. I would recommend if you are a little stiff or achy when you wake in the am to do some stretches that has always helped me! let me know any other questions you have and if you haven't seen all the info on adventure that you want let me know! Smooth Sailing! Make sure to let us know how it went!

We are about to take a cruise on Adventures of The Seas for the first time. This will be our second cruise, last time 15 years ago. I've been reading alot of reviews that are making me wonder if we've made a mistake. You never know which ones to believe. My family member is in a wheelchair and I'm hearing conflicting reviews on accessibility. I dont understand 2 twin beds that make a king in our room. That dosent add up. I've heard the beds are hard as a rock and that wont work for either of us.
I'm very nervous about taking this cruise now. Can you address my issues and put my mind at ease.
Thank you
